Founder & President
Growing up and spending his childhood holidays in Harbour Island—known affectionately as “Briland”—Jamar developed a deep appreciation for beautiful outdoor spaces and the pride that comes from caring for them.
That passion inspired him to establish Briland Sweet Landscaping & Maintenance, a company built on dependable service, attention to detail, and quality workmanship.
Today, Briland Sweet proudly serves homeowners, vacation properties, businesses, and commercial clients throughout The Bahamas. Whether maintaining a private residence or enhancing a commercial landscape, Jamar and his team are committed to delivering beautiful results and exceptional customer service on every project.

Jamar did an awesome job maintaining my mum’s yard.
He mowed, trimmed, edged and raked, then went a step further and created a mulch pile/garden area so my 85-year-old mother could have easy access to it while working in what he affectionately called her “fruit orchard,” and honestly, with all her Bahamian fruit trees, that’s exactly what it is. 😂
Jamar spent seven hours taming that orchard, working through extreme Bahamian summer weather, from heat that felt like 102°F to heavy rain and lightning.
When he finished, there wasn’t yard debris, leaves or limbs left behind. The entire property looked so clean, open and beautifully maintained that somehow the yard actually looked bigger. How did that happen?
But what impressed me most wasn’t only the work.
Jamar took the time to chat with my mum, answer her questions and give her gardening tips. Afterwards, it was such a pleasure walking through her orchard, sitting beneath the shady poinciana tree reading, and watching Mum, absolutely delighted… take her little Georgie bundle of gardening tools and bench back outside to plant more seeds.
That joy on her face said everything.
He’s now scheduled to come once a month. I can only imagine what would happen if he came once a week, she’d have the best-looking orchard in all of New Providence.

Okay, okay… her neighbourhood. 😂
